Our Staff Accountant will bring a foundation of rock solid Accounting, proven US GAAP experience, with a passion for analytics and problem solving – consistently turning data into information – your contribution will drive clarity and accelerate business decision making, every day! Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to accelerate their career progression within a high-energy tech-centric firm. Responsibilities You will own: The month-end close process, ensuring the delivery of consistent, accurate and timely financial reports. Prepare journal entries and manage all balance sheet reconciliations. Review balance sheet and income statement variances and identify any favorable or adverse drivers. Analyze current and past trends, help create key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, expense and cash. Assist in the evolution of Avant’s financial planning and reporting. Develop and maintain financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives. Support the CFO with Improving operating efficiency by helping evaluate processes and understanding ROI across the organization. Oversee outsourced AP and cash controls. Oversee outsourced AR reporting and support AR collection initiatives. Assist the CFO with GAAP and tax research, including the review of period end financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure compliance with GAAP and tax guidance. Minimum Qualifications & Key Competencies Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance. 3+ years of accounting experience. Sound understanding of US GAAP. A passion for accuracy and integrity. Experience with Quickbooks, or another known brand integrated financial software solution. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Demonstrated problem solving through financial analysis and modeling.
